Virtual image collection given by Jack Shue of the Broadmead Ridge fire of March, 2025.
This project started just after the 2025 fire on the hill above Broadmead.   I had attended a meeting where some were worried that the fire damage would be permanent.  Having lived in the woods I did not think it would be permanent, I felt it would be interesting to see how nature would react over the course of a year.
I set up the project by walking up the "Gentle Trail", and selecting 3 locations (Points A, B, and C).  In one of my files is a map of where the three points are located (file Fire Location Points On a Map).  At points A and B I took 3 180 degree panoramic shots using different lenses to give me different perspectives of the same image (Wide, Normal, and Long). I repeated the process on a monthly basis.  It turned out to be very difficult to find the exact  spot that I started with, but I got as close as I could to the original points.  At point C I used only one view angle instead of all 3 different lenses.  The result was that I was taking 7 different photos every month.
Each of the photographs have therefore been placed into 1 of 7 different files.  The file name are grouped by location (A, B, and C) a number and description indicating of the lens.  Once inside the folder there will be 12 photos with names beginning with the location followed by the
numerical value of the month an indication of the location spelled out, and the focal length of the lens.
With the number of images involved there is a single (contact) page for
each view point.  These were made to act as a table of contents.
